What you see is what you get with me. I'm pretty easygoing. I like to have fun and keep things light. My personality comes out on the field, on camera, with my people, and when investing in the youth.
On the field, whether for a practice or game day, consistency is everything. Winning the Super Bowl has always been the dream. I'm proud of my team, our coaches, myself, and everyone who helped us get there. But this is just the beginning - that dream lives on, and now it's onto the next. I'm always big on sweating the details: the grind, the day in and day out, and the discipline are what make it happen. I love the sport for everything it is - the destination & the journey.
Off the field I'm low-key - kicking back with family and friends, traveling to new and familiar places, eating good food, enjoying music, definitely prioritizing my sleep, and always throwing the football. For real - inside, outside, everywhere.
Throughout the year, investing time in business and giving back to the youth will always be a priority of mine. I'm big on building my business portfolio and learning along the way. I want to set an example for generations to come and do my part in helping them get there. The Smith-Njigba Foundation is all about that - I want to give the youth access to tools, training, and knowledge from a young age, because I know how it can change the game. I'm grateful for the many people who have poured into me throughout my years, and I feel blessed to do the same for others.
Football has given me family - in Texas, in Ohio, and now in Seattle. It takes the daily grind & we're back at it.
